GRC is currently seeking a Head of Office (m/f/d) to Myanmar.
The overall objective of this position is to lead the integrated bilateral cooperation between the GRC and its main partner in Myanmar, the Myanmar Red Cross (MRCS).
GRC has a long and trustful cooperation with MRCS and established a country office in 2018. The main project portfolio is linked to Capacity Building in the fields of Disaster Risk Management, Anticipatory Action, First Aid, Livelihood/CVA and community-based work, both with host communities and internally displaced people. Geographic focus includes urban areas (Yangon, Mandalay), coastal areas (Tanintharyi, Ayeyarwady, Mon, Bago) and conflict-sensitive contexts (Rakhine, Kachin, Sagaing, Magway, Kayin)
The GRC country office is based in Yangon, integrated into the MRCS Headquarters.
Starting date: 1st June
Duration: 24 months (with possible extension)
Location: Yangon
You will be part of a highly motivated professional and multicultural team. We offer you a compensation package according to the collective employment agreement of the GRC, an expatriation allowance during your mission as well as a personal allowance to cover your accommodation. In addition to a full insurance package GRC is covering a home flight within a 12-months period of assignment. You will benefit from a comprehensive training package and receive briefings and coaching prior as well as during and after your mission. Medical check-ups and Psychosocial Support Service are included in your assignment.
